Grafham Water Duathlon 22 Feb 2015

First of the season, standard distance 10k run, 40k bike finished off quite literally by 5k run. Runs are on compacted trails and the bike is on smooth roads which looks mostly flat. Put on by Nicetri events, don't think I have done one of theirs before. First duathlon for a few years, seem to recall they are bloody hard work.

For a moment I was intrigued by the idea of a "water Duathlon". And the fact that you were doing one.

Eventually the penny dropped though.

Fabulous, forecast is wet, chilly and 17mph winds. I will now spend three days deciding on clothing and inevitably choose wrong!

Did a November sprint version of this a few years ago, and also their OD. Good events company. Runs were right ******** though. The bike course was fast if it is any consolation. Forecast is looking better. Good luck!

No rain, no wind but lots of brass monkey knackers everywhere. Jibby your assessment of the bike and the runs was spot on. Sneaked under 2:30 full report when results are out. Great race, loved it.
