That is great progress Bopo, it really is tough to go back to the proverbial start, and begin again. But, being mentally strong, and training not only the mind but the body, will, as you say allow you to go on and enjoy sport for years to come.

When my knee started failing I had to accept I couldn't run as I use to do, but, shortened my stride, altered my technique and started to learn again.

Great progress :D

Good work Bopo.

You are right - it's a mental battle. Especially for us impatient types :D

With all the extra ones over the Christmas period, you should be able to easily wrap those eleven up before the New Year. :D .

Or maybe not.

a few strides and stuff this week. 15 minutes of warm up. Lasted about 2 minutes into the actual run. Too sore and too far to even think about finishing for the points.

So, that's three weeks without it healing properly. So I need to leave it at least another 3 weeks. So probably won't be looking at another parkrun until the middle of November.

sigh.

Bugger, or words to that effect,

Down the gym and playing with weights for strength, and aquarobics classes to take the weight off your legs ?
