TriBars – off or on at the moment

Postby albinolock » 15 Jan 2010 12:18

Because I’m a lazy git I never took my Tribars off for the winter.. Is it worth taking them off for a couple of months until early spring or just keeping them on now for good? I conscious of the fact when I start commuting in a couple of weeks I don’t really have enough room for my lights and I won’t be using the Tribars in the dark (or would I?)

How hard can it be?? and what could possibly go wrong?????

Mine stay put as I'm using the bike on the turbo a lot, and it's good to practice the position. I just fix my lights to the tri bars!

I took mine off as i was intending to do a few sportive over the winter and thought it would be better without them for that, however now i don't have one until the end of feb - I may stick them back on for the turbo to get used to being aero for long periods of time and take them off for the sportive. That's it they're going back on in the morning before my turbo session

Mine are on as well, took me so long tweaking little by little to where they are now and where I'm comfortable that I'm too scared to take them off, as they'll never be the same.

I changed my beastie over to a 'proper' TT set-up (base bars, aero bars, bar-end shifters and forwards seat post) fully intending to slap my road bars and Ultegra shifters on for the winter.

Needless to say I haven't been arsed. I'm another muppet dodging lumps of ice while steering with his elbows, then.

Mine are coming off until after London marathon.
