Forum Notes

Thought I'd start a new topic to explain how we can use certain elements of our forum:-

You now have the ability to include youtube videos in your posts directly and not just as a url link.

To use this functionality identify the Youtube video you wish to include the link will usually be of the format:-

Code: Select all
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fTrrQ9TDMY4

Simply take the unique video code after "v=" so in the example above it would be "fTrrQ9TDMY4" and then use the youtube tags:-

Code: Select all

You will then have the video embedded into your post.

Regards.

Here's a couple of basic tips for the gang:

To Quote somebody I'm sure we all know to use the 'quote' tags [ quote ] useless advice [ /quote ], although without the spaces. To have a name attached to the quote use:

[ quote="Bopomofo" ] useless advice [ /quote ]

which gives:

Bopomofo wrote:useless advice

Don't forget the "" marks around the name. Similarly, for URLs you can use:

[ url=http://bcttt.com ]The Best Tri Club in the Known Universe[ /url ]

which gives:

The Best Tri Club in the Known Universe

If you really want to dig further there's more description of codes here
I had fun once. It was awful.

I've taken the decision to disable links in signatures temporarily whilst I get my head around the spambots... very clever they really should just concentrate their talent on something else instead fo spam I'm sure they've got good IT brains... :ninja:
