Flavadave

Postby JoddyBear » 30 Apr 2013 11:18

Thanks to following the inspirational mechanicking style of our very own Dave, i managed to lock my rear brake partially on when carrying out a minor adjustment and therefore reaped the training benefit of the additional drag for about 80 miles on sunday.
I had thought that i was just majorly out of condition, but no, it was the genius of Daves influence affecting me from afar.

Readjusted it this morning and felt like i was flying on the ride into work.

Cheers Dave, the legs are lovin you

I mucked around with the names 'flavadave' and 'joddybear' for a bit. I discovered that by adding some letters and taking some away we can create the name "Cock" for Jody.

Well done, Jody. Eventually you'll be as old, fat and crap as me. Then you will discover the joy of meticulously checking your bike for any possible cause of friction every time you set off. Your chain will be oiled to perfection, you tyre pressures set, your aero position will be fine-tuned by experts who usually look after proper athletes but will humour you for a hundred quid.

And most importantly, you'll have your list of excuses prepared beforehand: headwind, traffic, yesterday's session, admired the scenery, paced a slower rider... anything, anything but the horrible truth of a slow descent into corpulent inactivity and a miserable decade of Jeremy Kyle and playing bingo from a piss-stained chair.

On a happier note, well done!
I had fun once. It was awful.
