as i got home tonight she was eagerly dragging her 'big girl' bike out of the garage, and insisting that her ma hold the saddle while she rode up and down outside the house. this is the first time that she has shown any interest in a pedal bike, and has in the past insisted that she won't be able to ride it until she is 6 and that she will need stabilisers.

15mins later, small and very grinny daughter returns and proudly tells me that she pedalled all on her own after her mum had let go. those who met her at the relays probably wouldn't believe me if i said that she's not that confident in her ability to do new things (she's really struggled with swimming, with many a screaming abdab at the pool), so to jump straight on her pedal bike and have a go is fantastic. top kid.

father/daughter bike rides around the lanes of wilts seem all the closer now.

fantastic.. Love this.

the biggest thing I'm looking forward to is teaching my futures heirs how to ride a bike. Most men want to kick a football with them. not me its riding with them on bikes I'm looking forward to most. MrsMorg007 loved the little childrens bike kit at Btown when we went there a few weeks back :)
