I think it's obvious Jack. I've just returned home via the M1

Cruise control set at 70mph and speed limiter set at 76mph.

Lesson learnt

ben - i don't think he earns enough to be able to afford a bad brief, let alone a good one.

they 'can allow 10% on discretion' (as it was put at my recent speed awareness course, for being a barely naughty boy on the m42) - and in this case it was zero tolerance. i know some people pinged for 32 in 30 as well, so by no means isolated. sos - it was on the first few miles on the a64 toward york (around tadcaster). apparently the plod are known for sitting on bridges and disused laybyes getting people there.

Well that's outrageous.

I should have been stuck on - I admit that but 2 mph !!! That's plain daft.

How can he tell 2 mph on his speedo - I'd appeal anyway - basically he will get the same fine and points as me and I was 21 mph over the national speed limit.

I'm not for one second saying I should have a harsher penalty but he shouldn't be prosecuted for that. No way. Poor bloke.

i hope he is appealing, but otherwise i'd say the little bastard deserves it - better looking than me and got a better degree. all i've got left is my marginally cleaner driving license and my tri-skillz.
