Disc Valve Adaptor.

Surely there must be a better adaptor than the utterly useless "crack pipe" design ???

Thanks chappers. However that isn't the issue.

The proble is that the cut out is quite small, meaning that there isn't enough clearence between the top of the valve and the cut out to get a pump adaptor. Hence they provide a crackpipe.

The thread goes into your pump and the adaptor (in theory) fits over the valve. The reality is that you have to hold the adaptor onto the valve whilst pumping (insert Kevism here) one handed. This is a rage inducing clusterfook.

I think I have the answer though.

This little beauty in conjunction with an uber short valve (30mm) looks like it will do the trick. It locks onto the valve from the side, rather than the top.

I have yet to even consider the co2 situation.

Coming from Surrey, not knowing what a crack pipe looks like ? pull the other one ;)

I agree about those other adaptors, I have already gone through the pain of them.
