front brake

Postby S11 » 02 Jan 2013 21:43

The Interceptor has the bontrager aero brake under the BB and a standard apex front brake. I have now removed most of the apex and replaced it but the front brake is proving somewhat difficult. Most people only sell brakes in pairs except TRP who do a nice brake but its for behind the fork which won't fit the trek on the front or the back of the fork... I know this cause I've bloody tried...

I cannot seem to find a decent front brake in black that will compliment the Trek -I did check out Egg Brakes (no joking - seriously slick brakes) but they are uber expensive just for a brake and thats before its shipped.

Anyone got any ideas?

He's not back in till tomoro...the TRP is from Btown so hopefully he can find me something decent...don't understand why SRAM don't sell single brakes particulary with a lot of bikes coming with rear wheel brakes hidden under the BB

How about this?
http://www.tririg.com/store.php

or this, I have them on my bike, it is a rear brake but all you need is a cable hanger, just a renamed TRP. Has Compag pads but you can swap them for Shimano

It seemed like a good idea at the time :? .
