Postby Worrying Will » 20 Oct 2012 13:45

Following my like wobble on the bike today i noticed that my front wheel is out by about 3mm in one place. Is this ok if not it it easy to sort or is it a trip to bridgetown
Thinks to much about it all

You need to go to Bridgtown to get it looked at.
And then you need some new wheels.
And a new bike.....

One of mine's out by more than that and has been for about 3 years. Worth mentioning to Mike next time you're in, but probably not worth a special trip if it's not rubbing the brakes, or feels bad when riding.

Buy a spoke spanner, practise truing a wheel, and if you make a pigs ear out of it then take it too a bike shop, to get it sorted.
Extinction is the rule. Survival is the exception.

And if you fail, definitely get it straightened. For £10 it's worth having them nice and true. 3mm of wobble isn't good news and it also puts uneven stress on your spokes - more likely to ping in a pothole or when you're stamping.
