Who has done a TT?

Just done my first one of these on the clandestinely named Q10/38 course. So secret that I still don't know where it is.

29:12 - I am truly crap on a bike! Good fun though, even if you have to be taken to the start line blindfolded in case you tell anyone it starts in a lay-by on the A28.

You're not alone, we're all crap on bike's here. And swimming. And running. It's what makes us all so special

Got a 10TT in maidenhea tonight on H10/2. Meant to be a faster course than Drift Road

Last night:

Course: the new (revised) H10/181 Witney Bypass (A40). Renowned as being one of the fastest courses in the area if the wind blows the right way. At this year's early season open TT on the same course, 4 riders went sub 20.

Last night the wind was blowing the wrong way for fast times, in fact the guy who finished 2nd has raced this course 6 times in the last 2 years and this was his slowest attempt. I finished bang on 25:00 in =24th which is a major step down compared to my other races this year but not too bad given I rode 100miles reasonably hard on Tuesday afternoon/evening, also I forgot to charge my garmin so had to ride completely blind. Because I didn't have the garmin I didn't know quite how far to the finish, so I still had some in the tank when suddenly I rounded a corner and was done.

Fun times and hopefully faster next time :)

25.55 last night including a numpty wrong turn... As has been pointed out to me.... On a straight course. Well there's one left turn on a roundabout at the start then it's straight along the A4, round a roundabout at mile 5 and straight back. I was overtaking just coming back to the last roundabout and had my head down, hit the roundabout and just missed that first turn. Probably cost me 10 seconds I guess. Annoyed with myself but overall happy with the time

Some very respectable 10 times from everyone. Good stuff.

Now, who is going to do a 25?

This is the blue riband event.

Maximum effort without crossing over into the in race nutrition durations.

And you'll need to enter a proper open TT to do it - tend not to be so many club events.

01:15 is the time to beat (20mph).
