It occurred to me this morning that Gingertri should see his 10 times tumble this year, if he makes the most of his new local K10 & K11 courses.

Plus, being a student, he will be able to exploit Ewan's pot noodle based fuelling strategy (that seems to have worked pretty well for Ewan).

P.S. I don't like pot noodle - can my beautifully decorated pot noodle cake (as per the pic) please have fruitcake innards?

Time to get those entries recorded...

Remember this is the Forum User's BAR. Not just (first claim) club members!

I really ought to make a commitment to do some TTs this year. But won't be making that decision until after April, I think :D

My main objective would be to beat Will, of course.

That will be easy. There seem to be very few events at the moment. Need to see if a local club is running a TT serries and join that club.

First TT of the year tonight, on the local H10/18 course. Turns out that I've only successfully ridden it with a power meter once before, although it's also the stretch of road I use for my own CP20 testing.

Last year I did 24:00 with 284w (winner was 22:15). My most recent CP20 test on that stretch was 8 weeks ago and gave me an AP of 276w. 20mph headwinds on the return leg suggest I probably won't go sub 24minutes, but I'll be happy if I can hold around 280w.

Have a good ride. At least the wind will give you a push for what looks like a predominantly uphill first half! My local 10s start next week, although I hadn't planned to do many, I'm really looking forward to getting stuck into them.

Have fun! At least you have had some recent practice in the wind and rain :)

Well, that could have gone better...

c. 32 odd minutes. Got stuck behind an hgv for about a quarter of the course that slowed to an almost complete stop for corners. Then punctured 2km from the line and crawled back.

Encouraging that I was around 270-275w with 5km to go and felt pretty comfortable ramping up to almost 300w before the puncture.

I suppose things can only go better from here.
