I would update the spreadsheet - 24:25 for another 10, and 2:07:27 for another 50 - but work laptop now blocks access both in the office and at home (grrr.....). Will have to try on child's sticky laptop or something.... or just buy a laptop of my own....

Curse you, Websense, and my employer's unenlightened view of employee interweb access...

I improved my season's cp20 by 10-15w tonight, but was still about 20w down on last year's cp20.

Season's best (of 2!!) time of 23:07, and my 2nd fastest 10 ever. Despite the reduction in power I was only 8 seconds off my pb on what was a pretty slow day on the h10/181. Almost everyone who rode was 10 seconds down on their times from 2 weeks ago, and the small number of riders who rode both last night and in the FUCT open at the end of May seemed to be almost a minute slower!!

Clare, I updated your 10 time in the spreadsheet, but I left the 50 as it was because your previous effort was faster and there is only space for one 50 time in the spreadsheet.

Nice work!

Was this post Xav visit? Or is that yet to come?

Post Xav, although I haven't implemented all of the changes he suggested yet. Compared to last year, I suspect the major aero differences continue to be the H3 and shaved legs, but we'll see if I can implement any of Xav's suggestions for more improvements :-).

Any chance of a write up of the experience? I'm not after specifics (wouldn't surprise me if you'd signed an NDA), more of a general review of the session. It's definitely something on my radar for later in the year, all being well.

Sure thing I can write a summary, but by and large it was a very positive and I thoroughly enjoyed it on many levels.

Xav does ask that people don't share the specifics of their session but I'm not entirely sure exactly how far that extends but I'll write something, and I'm pretty sure that none of my results were especially surprising.

I guess the key thing is the value it delivers... so how good you think your previous position was - i.e. how much effort you've put in to getting it right yourself, and what means you've used. Then the insight the session gave you.

For example, if someone's never been set up in any half decent manner on the bike, and don't have much cycling experience, then any position session with anyone is going to impress them. But someone who has done a lot of testing, working out CdA etc. etc. would take more impressing....
