Bad luck... Hopefully you get a clear run and no mechanicals at the next one!

I spent almost four hours of bike fit(s) with Mike the Bike on Tuesday. So I'm compelled to ask: your power may have been down, but how was your aero position?

Mike was telling me the story of Warren (v. fast bloke) who's average power for a 25 miler was reduced 10% after a bike fit... but he got a decent PB for the course.
I had fun once. It was awful.

Indeed, indeed. I'll be visiting Mike at soon with the very same issue in mind.

Looking at strava suggests that Mork (Mark Jones) barely puts out more watts than me (c.310 for a 10mile tt iirc) and is one of the fastest testers in the country. Similarly, I think IanM was saying that tarmac expert from ttf is even more extreme with sub 20min 10mile times off less than 300w.

TarmacExpert puts out similar/more than me IIRC. Can't remember who the guy I had in mind's name is, but I remember reading about someone doing 20s or even sub 20s off power in the low 200s because his position is aero optimised. An extreme example though, you need the body shape to get into the position in the first place.

Turns out that crawling past the timekeepers at 10km/h in a grump counts as a DNF... :-)

Poor opener for me: HCC083 (which is notoriously slow; lumpy; and covered in cruddy tarmac) - a sloooow 27:21 - not helped by a set of tired legs to start on, plus a comedy clown style bike position, after seat post slipped after impact with pot hole about 2.7km in.

Looks like the document is non editable.

Suspect Ewan will have to check the permissions on it.
