Can't you try and persuade the judge that you were giving your little people a practical science lesson on how gravity, weight, mass, inertia, air resistance and aerodynamics affect the velocity of a vessel? It's a better reason/excuse than "I wasn't concentrating, M'lud"

H10/2 (with apologies to any residents of the Royal County for this invasion of their patch  ) - 23:54.
3rd W
2nd Vet Std
1st SEWTTS Cat 2
:D :D :D :D

Action pic - note how cleverly I have colour co-ordinated the passing car to my new team kit!
Really need red tyres / bar tape / saddle, don't I? (N.B. this has been expressly forbidden by the BAT officer).
Still toying with the idea of some bespoke go-faster flame decals for the disc too...

P.S. can anyone in the know let me know how the vet std prizes work - assume that it is done on difference to standard, then age in the case of a tie? Winner and I were both +4:45, but I am 3 years younger. Oh, to have put in just a tiny bit more effort...

Curses!!!
Thought I was doing really well not loading it with a full bottle, and taking small picnic basket in case of emergency (though was reassured to see that the Royal County laid on a large number of pubs along the course in case the need for en route refreshment arose!).

It's possibly causes more drag without the bottle ;)

Charlotteville CC 50 - H50/8 - 2:06:22
(pretty pleased with that - over 14 mins faster than last year's 2:20-something - mainly due to rather nicer weather!)
6th woman, so just out of the prizes, but seeing as I though 7th was a realistic target, pretty happy with that!

Finally got the spreadsheet updated (need to resort to child's sticky laptop) - work in their infinite wisdom have installed some stupid software that seems to prevent me from doing anything I might actually want to do on a laptop in the privacy of my own home.... though for reasons unknown, I can do what I like if I go into the office....

Sounds like they've figured out you know Kev, in which case it's a perfectly understandable precautionary measure.

Wooo! After 3 DNS and one DNF I've actually ridden a TT this year.

http://www.ottl.co.uk/tt.pl?eventdate=13052015

19 miles (hilly) so not a counting ride, but fun. Also 20 or so seconds faster than last year. A couple of watts down but it's so lumpy it's hard to get the pacing right. Felt pretty tired on the last couple of rollers but surprisingly fresh immediately after finishing.

Good work Ewan - that's a pretty good placing!
More TTs in the offing? - or is life / DPhil / perfecting the Pot Noodle cake recipe etc getting in the way?
