Closed road TT, 700 entrants, UCI qualifier (not sure if that means bike + rider MUST comply with UCI rules though).

Interesting.

The only thing you can be sure of is that the bike you are riding now most likely isn't UCI legal.

Yep. Need to clarify if they'll enforce the rules. If they do, then it's likely a no for me. But with 700 riders, potentially, then I'm not sure they will be.

Based on a reply someone on TTF has had, any machines fit for CTT events will be fine. Only have to meet UCI regs if qualifying and then racing at the champs in Denmark.

I'm now very interested - shame it's sandwiched between the national TTT and national 50, so may have some deciding to do, or miracle work to do at home to get away for 3 non local races on 3 consecutive weekends. Other downside is that there's no seeding, it's first come first served. Should be quite an experience though.

Even though it's in Peterborogh, I got half way through entering.

I got stuck at the license bit. And the talk about front gates and mates gates

Which has put me off a bit.

It's a long way to go to get stuck in traffic.

The license and gate bit confused me too, and I gave up. The gate thing seems to be to do with the Sportive and they've not updated the TT entry page accordingly - at least that appears to be the case based on comments on TTF.

And I've already had 2 pester emails about going back to complete the sign up process.

It's still tempting, despite the annoyances, but I need to look at my planned race schedule as this could see me racing 3-4 weekends in a row, so I need to consider it against the other races and see where the priorities are.
