First 50TT

For what it's worth (based on my vast experience of 50s, but similar training experience to yours of long rides this season), I went with a Speedfil containing about 750ml of SIS Go for my 50 (though guess that might not work for your digestive system). No gels or bottles to mess around with, and I didn't run out of steam on the day (despite early start and corresponding lack of opportunity for significant breakfasting).
Good luck!

Whatever you go with, take into consideration the time it takes for fuel to kick in - if you take a gel at 90 mins point and it takes you 20 mins to digest it (possibly longer), then in a 2hr race realistically you only benefit from that fuel for about 10 mins.

Cheers. Just picked up some Go, so will try a slightly weaker than recommended mix in today's session and see how it feels, but if anything that will be just to supplement the gels, so I only need 1, or 2 if I'm struggling.

Yep, hence my planned timings in the first post ;)

Cheers both. Nutrition worked fine until I dropped my bottle with about 8 miles to go. Which I could really have done without doing.

Very eventful ride, will type something up when in front of my computer.

Won on a 1:37 I think. Insane.
