Challenge Weymouth HALF

Tempted. Can't afford in time nor money the Iron distance. Not interested in going long - don't have the dedication to train for it.
Busy year for me.

But I could do enough to get around the half.

Anyone else doing it ?

Ben, I thought you were keeping this season REALLY focused vs. signing up for every other race?

(your official external voice of reason speaking here..)

Poland and this will be my only ones. Other than that it's just cycling predominately
I think that's a fair balance

This time last year I was bleeding on about trying to enter an IM, then moaning about the volume if training, work, kids etc.
This year I can do 2 middles. That's not OTT

You don't have to defend yourself Ben.

I've planning on averaging NO MORE THAN 4.5hrs per week (because if I do more I will break), with a minimum of 2.5 hours per week*. And I plan to do/will do a HIM in September.

Might have failed to meet the 2.5 hours per week already a couple of times though. Need to check.

*This might not include swimming mind.

Challenge Weymouth HALF

No. Sundowner is the plan.

Local to me. Flat. Lake swim

Starts in the afternoon to finish at .. Sundown. Then a party.

On a Saturday too, so work won't get in the way.

I couldn't cope with a sea swim :)

Quite like idea of sundowner, too. Getting there on the Friday night is the only pita for me, though (don't fancy driving for 5h and immediately racing).

Campsite at the race venue is very nice, but small. Plenty of other campsites within a couple of miles of he venue.
Extinction is the rule. Survival is the exception.
