So, we're racing this weekend, then. :D

I had a little run today and managed to wheeze my way around about 5.3km while producing a few litres of phlegm. I feel knackered.

My base training has, for the fifth year in a row, been shite. My weight has barely changed. My running has not improved.

I'm gunning for sub-50 and it is going to be hard work. But it'll set me on the path to Reading Half then Eastleigh 10k. By the end of march I WILL have two new PBs.

So, what's occurring on race day? We have me + my mate Neil, Jibbs, Clump, Team Joddybear.. and so far as I can see everybody has to go past my place to get home.

Coffee and cake chez Bopo (about 20 mins up the M27 from Stubbington)? Maybe able to sort something more substantial out depending on numbers. Or we could find a pub - not always socially acceptable with 10k of sweat on you...

Ideas?

I was thinking about heading over to the Osbourne view for lunch. A couple of the swimmers are doing it as well. Anyone else interested? Can see about a table

Happy to go either way, but have to be home 2:00pm, maybe 2:30pm at a stretch so that Julia can fit in her planned bike ride before dark. If chez-Bopo, can bring cake :D

Works for me, Clump. I won't have time for pub lunch as I'm making use of my new ASA Timekeeper certification to supervise at my son's swim club TT's on Sunday afternoon. Got to do the B squad, too, so it will be a 2pm start.

I'm happy to host. Jibbs will be pubbing, let's see what the Bears are doing. I won't be offended if nobody fancies a coffee... just an offer to break up the journey. :D :D
