bath half 2014

little way off, but it does fill up fairly quick. probably my last year doing it, though, as they want over £40 for the pleasure of running 2 laps of bath's least lumpy roads.

will i train well enough to sneak under 1:30 in 2014? current pb is 1:31 and change...

I'm out, on all counts.
One who wants to do something, will find a way.
One who doesn't, will find an excuse.

I could be tempted. Was supposed to do Eton last year but had to DNS due to a dodgy ITB. What is the atmosphere like and is it good for spectators.
I'd go with the alloys and lose a few pounds!

atmos is pretty good - the locals turn out for pretty much the whole length of the course, even out at the farthest reaches. the finish line area is a bit quiet, but there is one section - queen's square - that is superb, usually they have a samba band going mental there. it's a big race - there are 12 - 15,000 runners.

it's a two-lapper so spectators should be able to get sight of you a few times (if you know where to go you can cut across easily from one part of the course to another).

i guess that pneumonia may be stopping play for you, britspin. if you and the missus are still coming and want a post-race drink/scoff then pm me.

feeling like under 1:30 should be achievable, but don't know by how much....
