No there was an issue with a sportive a while back...summary:
Ben: lets do this event the 80k
Me: I'm in! [enters race]
others: i'm doing the short one...
Ben: I'll do the short one as no one else is doing it
Me: Hello?

Other thread:
Artur: Mark why don't you come and do this sportive
Me: WTF!

I was being naughty. Really to make MD6 chuckle.

Would be good to have a little BCTT catch up pre-race

Yep. I am going to Samoa v USA in Brighton on the Sunday so Sat 19th probably easier. We could meet here http://www.thevelohouse.com/ for lunch / coffee / whatever and go from there?

In NYC that weekend, so won't be able to join you. :|

Will need to find some time earlier on to ride it - challenge is, when!

The week before is ok for me. Or the one before that. Or this weekend probably. Early doors though.

Woah there cowboy. I'll have to get permission from the WAT officer. I have just submitted forms requesting a couple of hours at the pub on Sunday evening. which will have to go through the Committee For The Approval Of Drinking With Friends In A Non Domestic Environment. I might take time to get a vote. I'll keep you posted. But that means I will have to sneak in the forms for requesting a ride during the hours of daylight while childcare duties are required.

Right. So I've just lost my last opportunity to drive down and ride the Hever route. Would really be good to know if it's more TT or roadie territory... Any thoughts from folks who did it in previous years?

My recollection of the route is that it was "changeable". Corners, short climbs, short descents etc. And crowded. I remember having to frequently change gears and that I struggled to get into a rhythm... (my level of fitness may have had something to do with it)

Other people who might help you include Faith (she did the sprint 2 years ago or 3?) Ben drove it with her i think... Jungle and Tarka too
