AQI aka Stu's stupid stupidity

Not so much an event as there's only one competitor!
I'm doing a quintuple ironman in the one per day format starting on May 19th. Alone.
The swim is at my local pool, the bike is 18 laps and the run is 5 long and 2 short laps. There is no time constraint apart from the swim as the pool is only open for two hours each morning. Jayne will be my support crew but she works 3 1/2 days a week so I'm pretty much on my own.
I've got to be honest folks. I'm crapping it! I bought the tickets for the swim today, it's getting awfully real.
Stupid stupid stupid
My new mantra is " all I have to do is get to the pool each day"

The tickets show that I've paid to swim that's all. I'm doing it purely because I want to see if I'm capable, however since I don't actually do any meaningful training and I have a knackered ankle, shoulder and back I'm not all that confident. But we'll see.

The only credible explanation is that Stu is, in fact, the work pig (dramatic chords). He is filled with such self loathing and revulsion that he has to punish himself with this sort of behaviour.

If you notice, the only time the work pig is around is when stu is around. It's a kind of jekyll/hyde transformation, Bruce Banner/Incredible Bulk.

Having transcended to slurping salad, a self imposed 5 IMs on the trot is the obvious response.

Ha ha. It's not me. I just want to see if I can do it, that's all. I smashed out the 2.4 mile swim this morning in 1:07 and my shoulder wasn't massively painful so I'm happy with that.
This event will be the last biggie though!
