Man down.....

Postby Sir Conehead » 10 Jan 2010 22:10

In what some of you will call poetic justice - I went on yet another MTB ride in the desert with some expert riders in 'winter' weather, ie 20 dgerees and blue sky.

Feeling invincible fuelled on Red Bull shots I grabbed some air on a technical descent following them. Quickly followed by going over the bars and down the side of the mountain.

I now look like I've had a fight with a bag of cats and my right knee is shagged.

Supposed to fly to Southern California tomorrow morning to train the Atherton clan. I can always just shout at them, its what I normally do anyway.

At 37 I clearly don't bounce as well as when I was 27, or 17.

I for one would feel much happier if you tried to follow them down.

I've seen them in action (via youtube), it's the least you could do.
One who wants to do something, will find a way.
One who doesn't, will find an excuse.

Oh dear

1) Try holding on to the handle bars instead of pulling the nu-metal-devil-hands routine
2) I bet 225lbs by the time you get back on the bike
3) Did you manage to get any photos?

Get well soon :D
