Stepping down as regional leader

Postby chris.dearing » 09 Jan 2010 17:43

I think it's time I handed over the reigns to a new south west regional leader.

I've been very distant from the club/forum for a quite a while now and feel that there must be others that could do the job much better than I have. Considering I've failed to organise any kind of get together/local training that can't be difficult.

I will deffinately continue to be a member of the club.

All applictions to be sent to SGM Burrows.

Ris & Didds would be a good team, though not stricty south west?

I'll defo still be here that's for sure. Just need to shake off this winter mind-set.

well, depending on what it entails, I'd be up for it though I do hasten to add I have dropped all responsibilities I ever had this rugby season and am loving it ;-)

As Chris said, Wilts isn't that SW really (I always find it intriguing that something as central as Wiltshire counts as the south-west!) but I wouldn't let my personal geographical position influsence what could or couldn;t be orgainsed for those truly west.

Then again as there are three of us here in Wiltshire maybe we could have a wilts branch and the SW have its own! (Combatdwarf is in malmesbury I believe)

didds would do a top job, and i'd give whatever help i could. i'd love to be more enthusiastic but i think the mag is going to keep me plenty busy.

if the feeling is that sw should be organised by someone west of the avon then i'm not sure who else there is. jody's somewhere in somerset isn't he? not sure he's made it over to this version of the forum. did blinky come over to the darkside of the bcttt?

my dad is from devon and he used to get a major monk on when i talk about the south west. he reckons bristol is practically the midlands, so wiltshire is probably an outcrop of east anglia. :D

No worries Chris - don't be concerned about any percieved lack of anything on your part, its better than spectacularly mismanaging everything like me.

Everyone in this club plays a very important function, being a member is massively important in itself. Every person who is a member of the club is sticking it 'to the man' and thus at races performs the most important function of all - global triathlon domination.

Well done mate.

did I inherit SW "leader" or are we hanging out for somebody that actually lives in the SW rather than the central south :-)
