a little insight...
today was day one of the "Bikeability" instructor's course... that's the "National Standards for Cycle Training" scheme. I'm training to deliver the course to schools etc.
One of the first things we are taught is to check bikes before any of the people we are to instruct actually go off on them. Before we started today, our instructors (themselves bikeability instructors of course) did the same check on our bikes.
Nobody's bike passed 100% - and this included TWO blokes that run bike shops and are also bike mechanics
Which is not related to embarras them or to show us all up but t indicate no matter how good you think your bike is... it ain't!
