On-line training plans recommendations?? (FREE)!!

Postby garyroberts » 20 Jan 2010 00:02

Hi Folks

I'm looking for a decent online training plan / training log that will help me track my progress and help keep me on the right track.

I'm can't afford another triathlon related expense so it has to be freeeeeeeeeeee!

Can anyone recommend a site??

I'm sure moonshine uses (or used) one...

But.. the amount you are saving on Drink... 1) Buy a book 2) by a pad of paper and a pencil.

My key books:

1) Jack Daniels Running Formula
2) Chris Carmichael's Time Crunched Cyclist
3) Terry Laughlin's Total Immersion
4) Joe Friel's Triathlon Training Bible.

As your goals are pretty much the same as mine (short and fast, with little time to train), then they should do for you too!

I (sort of) record what I do on Facebook. Although I keep spreadsheets too - once I feel like I am actually doing some consistent training.

Sport track - completely free and very good - gives you all sorts especially good as it will download from all sorts of GPS gizmos

+1 for sportstracks here, too. great bit of software - you can get yourself really lost in studying all the data it takes off if you have a compatible gps/hr device.
