Yup. I'm paid to be a unix sys admin... but I wouldn;t ever define myself by that - that's just too sad.

As for the question "What do you do" I deliberately avoid the employment answer because its how I afford to live, not what I "do" - I'd NEVER do it if there was a realistic alternative.

so... until 1995 nobody was a rugby player then?

And until <whatever the date was> was nobody actually an athlete e.g. Roger Bannister wasn't an athlete because he was never paid to be so (because he couldn't be)?

Perhaps another debateable thread could be....Should all competitors in the Olympics be of true Amateur status. There are world championships for sports anyway so why not keep the Olympics true to the original.
Extinction is the rule. Survival is the exception.

I haven't read the register and BOFH since I work in IT as a DBA...

I might just have to catch up with the last 5 years.. if it's still around...
How hard can it be?? and what could possibly go wrong?????

Does't it really matter! Because if you go running in the pouring rain or get on your bike when you really wouldn't or go to the pool instead of the cinema, but it seems the thing to do - then you're hooked, so call your self what you like but to a civilian( some one who dosen't own a wetsuit) you're a triathlete.
DISCLAIMER. Just fallen off wagon (hard)
