Hoka for off road

Postby sonofsammo » 18 Apr 2016 08:19

Morning all.
I'm currently 'running' in hoka clifton 2, which are quite nice.
I'm wondering what the equivalent in their off road series is, in terms of drop, weight and fit....
Any ideas?
I've done DNF. I've done DNS.

Interesting.

According to their "shoe selector", the Cliftons aren't an option for weight > 90kg.

My Cliftons seemed quite happy off-road - been OK on rough volcanic rubble type paths, and didn't seem to object too much to the Parkrun quagmire of doom either. Obviously, that said, I don't really do any proper off-road (or any proper running come to think of it)

You could rebel some more and use them for off road then! :D

Anyway, they have options for "trail" and "mountain".

So, you either stick with your existing ones, or select a "trail" option...

I'm not aware of anyone owning any of the trail ones...

.. there are a few reviews around.
