As we were approaching 600 watts the Stages Powermeter Salesman squealed something about replacing it with V2 istead of a refund.

As far as I can see all is, is a firmware upgrade ?

My big fear is that I swap units and the new one doesn't work. If that happens I will probably max out at somewhere near the 1000watts I reached whilst tanning Kevs arse at Goodwood that time.

Ah, memories of good times. Must do it again soon and I'll wear the badger mask

V2 is slightly slimmer, improved battery compartment design and has updated firmware

Took the plunge and ordered Stages over the weekend - first ride with it this morning. Purrs like a kitten (for now, anyway - long may it continue).

Another option?

Interesting (so are the PowerTap pedals too), but I'd probably wait a year or so until it's established itself and got through the first tech support hiccups before buying it.

Here's a good recent sum-up of all things power by DC Rainmaker, btw: http://www.dcrainmaker.com/2015/10/buye ... ition.html
