Just cleaned this up from 220, might be of use, or add to as required:

Frequently Used TRI Terms on Messages and Articles:

1/2IM = 1/2 Ironman 
AD = An*l devastation (pre race nerves - or worse mid race onset AD)
AG(er) =Age Group(er) 
AHR = Average Heart Rate 
AR = Adventure Racing 
AT = Anaerobic Threshold 
AT = in addition to Aerobic/Anaerobic Threshold also in context of dicussing injuries Achilles Tendon/Achilles Tendonitis 
ATP = Annual Training Plan 
ATP also = adenosine triphosphate which is what is broken down in the muscle to produce energy. 
BAT = Boyfriend Added Tax
BB = Black Bomber
BMR = Basal Metobolic Rate 
BOP = Back of pack 
BOP(er) = Back of the Pack(er) 
BPM = Beats Per Minute for Heart Rate 
Brick = often used to describe a combination workout that includes a bike and run back to back.
BT = Break through workout session 
Century = Bike ride of 100 miles 
CT = Computrainer 
DFL = Dead F***ing Last 
DNF = Did not finish 
DQ = Disqualified 
DU = Duathlon (run bike run) 
FAT = Fiancee Added Tax
FFS = For F!%# sake
FISH = good swimmer 
FOP = Front of pack
FWIW = For what it's worth 
GAT = Girlfriend Added Tax
HAT = Husband Added Tax
HF = Hip Flexor 
HIM = Half IronMan
HR = Heart Rate 
HRLT = Heart Rate at Lactate Threshold 
HRM = Heart Rate Monitor 
HROBLA = Heart Rate at Onset of Blood Lactate Accumulation (rare) 
HTFU = Harden the F!%# Up
IIRC = If I Recall Correctly 
IM = Ironman (Swim 2.4 miles, Bike 112 miles, Run 26.2 miles) 
IM = Ironman 
IMHO = in my humble opinion 
IMO = in my opinion 
IOW = In Other Words 
ISTR = I Seem To Recall 
ITB = Ilio Tibial Band 
JFDI = Just F!%#ing Do It
LBM = Lean Body Mass 
LBS = Local Bike Shop 
LOL = Laughing Out Loud 
LSD = Long Slow Distance 
LT = lactate threshold 
mary = marathon 
Mdot = WTC sponsored race or that circle above an M thingy that is on Ironman trademarked stuff 
MHR = Maximum Heart Rate 
MOP(er) = Middle of the Pack(er) 
mRHR = morning Resting Heart Rate (to distinguish the lowest rate vs. RHR which could be recovery heart rate.) 
NFG = no f'n good (bad race) 
NM = No Message! 
OLY = Olympic distance triathlon (1.5K swim, 40K bike and 10K run) 
OMPF = Obligatory Mid Pee Fart
PB = Personal Best (but more often referred to as a PR-personal record)
PC = Powercranks 
PE = Perceived exertion/ effort 
PF = plantar fasciatis 
PNF = Paula Newby Fraser (aka. The Super Chicken) 
PR = Personal Record
PV = Personal Victory 
RHR = Resting Heart Rate 
RHR = Resting Heart Rate 
RICE = Rest, Ice, Compress, Elevate 
ROTFLMAO = Rolling On The Floor Laughing My Off 
RTFM = Read The F@^%$#@) Manual 
SME = Swimming Made Easy (Terry Laughlin's 2000 version of TI) 
SO = Significant Other 
T1 = swim-to-bike transition 
T2 = bike-to-run transition 
TDF = Tour de France 
TFL = Tensor Fascia Lata 
TI = Total Immersion: swimming instruction by Terry Laughlin 
TLA = three letter abbreviation (acronym) 
TNO = TriNewbies Online 
TT = Time Trial (usually in reference to cycling) 
TTB = Triathlete's Training Bible, book by Joe Friel 
TTT = Team Time Trial (and occaisionally "to the top" but "bump" is preferred.) 
VT = ventilatory threshold. When you are totally sucking wind! 
WAT = Wife Added Tax
WTC = World Triathlon Corp owners of Ironman Trademark 
WTF = What the F!%# 
Zone X = Refers to the Heart Rate Zone(s) as found in Joe Friel, Gale Bernhardt, and other's training books[/size][/font]
