COMPLETELY unrelated to Tri...Lego?

Postby Woody » 26 Jun 2012 09:40

Apologies right off the bat but the cottage we're staying in has a lego set. Bodhi has played with aforementioned lego set. Bodhi is now addicted to aforementioned lego set. Bugger.

So I've had a quick look on t'interweb and christ in a taxi I almost fell off my seat when I saw the prices for a few bricks!!

Anyone have any laying about?

Ebay is your best bet you can pick up bags of bricks and pieces by the KG secondhand; it still holds value well but much more affordable than the tiny amounts you get in the kits.
I bought some off this guy a while ago for my little cousin.

I've got tons of the stuff from my childhood including loads of Technical Lego, but it's going nowhere. Every now and then (normally when my Nephew is over), we'll do some serious constructing :) I wasn't much help, sorry Woody

My Nephew is 21 but that's beside the point, just gives me an excuse to play with Lego

Cheers Jungle_re! I did scout out that guy but having never really played with Lego I got all confused and worried he'd end up with loads of bricks but the inabiity to make anything!! So I've opted for a starter box which has the bonus of coming in a plastic container to keep it all together

and I'll just add little sets to it as and when he gets bored (he's only 4 bless him - but my 17 year old looks keen!!)

and kev...that's just mean and selfish ;)

My nephew's just got old enough to be interested in Lego. All of mine from when I was a kid was boxed up and passed on to my cousin when he was old enough (he's 12 years younger than me) and it's been sitting in their attice since he grew out of it. So next week when I'm visiting back home for some post-Outlaw R&R I get to play with all my old Lego set!

I don't think my nephew's going to get a look in, to be honest...

Oh, and Woody - have a look round for a fire station set. My Dad got me one of them when I was a kid (he was a fireman) and I used to love that one.

Print off your celtman training plan, and sell copies of that. After all, it's race proven to bring success.

You should make a mint.

P.S. I think my Lego is up in the loft. It has proven tricky over the last 40 years to find a good home for it ;)

Oh. My. GAWD.

There's been a new improved version in the last twenty years.

I must buy it. For my nephew obviously.
