Brilliant and enlightening write up, it almost makes me, I said ALMOST makes me want to do another IM race, all the emotion and plenty of anger too.

Great work Ade. Love it that you were let down by your maths on the run pacing. That's obviously why I am unsuited to long distances... no such ability to plan pace (even wrongly) - just do everything at my one size fits all pace until my legs drop off (I.e. around 4km)

Next year is sub hour, 25 year.

I'm in Windsor, I quite like the look of kqwerty's ld aquabike but other than that a TT focus. Lots of weights and winter sportives, maybe my early year HM trilogy.

2015 will, depending on how 2014 goes be Roth. Don't tell my mentor or it'll be the naughty step for me.

I think it would be great to run an hibiscus swathe over the BBAR - that's best over 50 miles, 100 miles and 12 hours. We just need to find some idiot^H^H^H^H^Hhero prepared to do that. Imagine a 12 hour! The fun of 100 miles, but for 2.5 times as long.


On the other hand, stick to 25 miles. Don't have to worry about drinking/nutrition then (except before and after).

My only concern about this is actually getting in !!! Especially 4/5 of us.

The thought of doing another 100 makes me feel sick, but i don't think I could actually manage 12 hours without crying.
