That was a great read Si. Really sorry you disn't make it, but glad you are ok.

It won't come as a great surprise that this doesn't appeal to me but you will be able to rely on me to give you a good pasting up and down the Chilterns when the time comes.

Sounds amazing Si - I know how hard you worked and Im gutted that on the day things didnt work out. Its not the 'walk of shame' somethings its the most sensible decision you can make. You made it for a reason so stick by it and dont beat yourself up too much about it.

Were you shocked by just how much of a clmib it was? You had planned originally to go to France pre race and do a few climbs?? Sounds like that may well be the way forward - If you do a road count me in!

You need to have a look at his Strava data.

There were TWO HC climbs...

The first was as bad as the final one.

A real killer of a ride.

Faith - yup especially as they describe it in the course thing as a small climb by the organiser so kind of discounted it.......i have a friend in geneva and i'm definately going to visit him year and do the arga (long alpine type climb). And it is definately the walk of shame as everyone looks at you going the other way so you put your head down and make 0 eye contact.....come do it in 2 years with with me and qwerty!

Flavadave - you dont get a medal, t-shirt only!
