I don't have any other ultra races to compare it too, but organisation, marshalling and aid stations were excellent! Medics on hand at stations too. I would say that it's a great one to do as your first because of this.

Oh, and it took me 15hrs 17mins. I'm not sure I'll be looking to beat that PB... well, maybe.

I have a huge apology to make to you Dave.


I stopped reading and contributing here for a long time because I basically didn't have anything to offer these days as all I do is train all year to swim some stupidly long distance and there's not much advice or anything interesting to write about that!

I now see that you you finished your gargantuan effort 12 miles from where i live ie Avebury/Devzies. I would have happily given you a bed and a shower and food etc for the night so you didn't have to drive 2 hours home after doing that.

I feel very guilty and i cannot apologise sufficiently.

Don't be daft mate. No apology necessary. Believe me, I'd have been the one apologising to you if I had stayed the night at yours. I was a right grumpy arsehole by the time I finished :lol:
