I really need someone who is local and flexible (hours, Kevy, hours).

Going to have a bit of a look round.

Right, entries sent off for the opening prologue 10 mile TT. Assuming we both get in (I am quite hopeful as it is not a fast course, and I think preference is to oldies and there are separate events), then the fun will begin. Surprisingly looking forward to it.

We've both starting training for our off-road marathon. I went out on the moors on the MTB, only fell off a couple of times, which is good for me. Jon.e, with what some might regard as a slight tactical error, is doing his off-road training in a canoe.

Hamstring a bit knackered after going up the infamous "Stairs" climb. Which probably means that Will can hold on to his KoM for at least another week.

Away from tomorrow, so it will be running and swimming. a bit.

Just found out how to export all my data from training peaks (used during 2010/2011 - from when I got my power meter to when I gave up planning training sessions).

Weight when I did the skipton Tri:

11st 13lbs

Weight today 12st 13lbs

Racing weight schmacing weight.

Surely that puts you in a strong position for November's challenge?

Maybe. But as I want to get down to that by then, most of the easy win puppy fat should go before then. Should get to 12:08 fairly easily. But then it gets harder.

This was the mile race. Would have been great fun if we had got into the same heats.

Maybe it will be back next September.

I am already stressing about doing an iron distance swim in June.

The main problem with Ullswater is the wind and chop it creates. Best to practice a little bilateral breathing. It's always relatively cold but not horrendous once you get going. IMHO the some of the best views when OWS :D
No? Tough. We're doing it.

You use Jack Daniels Running Formula, no?

Would you recommend it (for the GAT)?

Yes.

It's the best book on running.

There's a lot of detail in it. A lot.

The idea is that you are equipped with the knowledge to create your own plans. So if you just want a simple plan it can be over the top.

Excellent thanks! I think I'll get it and see how we get on.

(oh and sorry, I thought I was posting in your training log... I don't know how I ended up in this thread!?)

*Edit* Wait? IS this your new training log? Shouldn't this thread be pinned in "Events"? :-)
