The recovery tme is that which it takes me to walk back the 200 M to the start line (400M track) which all tolled is about 2 minutes (this includes the doubled over agony and the inner battle with all the reason in the world why I should not do another one)
It is a BRUTAL session, generally 1 hour of torture but this combined wth 12x 400M on(flat out)/400 off (jogging) have really cut my 10 kM times 2 minutes faster since Christmas!

Yesterday supposed to be a 1kM swim and then a turbo session: 4x 15 minute at 40kMh allegedly.
Legs were tired and lots of work on in the morning so I forewnt the swim.
The turbo was poor; I struggled through averaging 38 - 39 kMh on each
NOT HAPPY

Today I have a steady 1kM swim under my belt and am looking forward to a leisurely scull this afternoon
Now stop foruming and get training!

Sunday so it is the club run with my cycle club.
I don't want to bore you with politics and circumstanes but our club run was in danger of becoming a touist session until some of us spiced it up by insisting that everyone stayed with the fastest and not going at the speed of the slowest.
Anyway 104 kM of hilly speed and countless calls to "steady her up you B******d" which everyone survived.
All day at the front and averaged 30kMh.

A few bad days due to absolutely terrible weather and a horrible cold.
Monday 29th - no train trying to shake the cold
Tuesday 30th - 40 minutes trail running in a ferocoius storm
Wednesday 31st (today) - no train I've submitted to the cold and will give more time to recover
No Train = Not Happy

Right lots to catch up on here, seeing as nobody reads this except me I'll keep it short and to the point!
Thursday 1 April: Decided to stop whingeing and get stuck into some proper training 12x 800M intervals at the track
Friday 2 April : 125kM hilly cycling, quite tough due to an incessant head-wind that shifted direction as I shifted direction
Saturday 3 April : 50 mins light/fartlek trail running
Sunday 4 April : No Training - family day
Monday 5 April : No training - hung over
Tuesday 6 April : Local Tri Club time trial beaten into 2nd place by 11 seconds - NOT HAPPY
Wednesday 7 April : 137 kM cycling at tri race pace including 2 big climbs and 2 medium climbs
Thursday 8 April : Interval running 800M on at 3.00 min/ 2.00min off x12
Weather is improving, weight is dropping, Garmin is working all is good

Friday 9th April.
Good day training; Brick session 28.6kM cycle over some hilly terrain followed by a 2.3mile run with an evil hill.
My weight is falling also.
Today Saturday 10th April track session; it was meant to be 10x 400M at max effort but I was just too tired so I took some advice and halved it to 10x 200M at max effort. My legs were on on fire afterwards.
I have anther Brick planned for tomorrow.
At this point I have to state that training witht he Garmin is a delight
