Feeling more positive this morning.
Can't control anything to do with knees or shoulder, so am going to control what I can.
And that means focusing on diet.
215 this morning, so things are heading the right way.
Not doing anything fancy. Just lowering calories, cutting bread/pasta and focusing on quality.
I have a target of 197 for July and even if it's not racing, I'm determined I'm going to achieve one goal this year!

Good man SoS, I balloon when not training and next time I am injured I am determined to not let it happen by better control of diet, and also do some of that stretchy core stuff that everyone is talking about, can you do any of that?

Should be able to do anything that doesn't involve load bearing on either shoulders or legs........ :-D

I got swimmers shoulder from doing too much front crawl in one week. That was one reason I joined masters instead of a tri club.

Swimming all 4 strokes is a fair way of preventing it reoccurring. If you get good at another stroke it also gives you a chance to still train while fatigued. If my shoulders are sore I can swim backstroke, if my ankle hurts I can swim breaststroke, etc. etc. If you are going to focus on swimming this season then why not join a swim club? Would be a good way to learn all 4 strokes, have some defined and structured training too, and put a session firmly in the diary each week.

Get some resistance cords and work on dry land training while at home. Should help with the rehab. http://www.swimwithscience.com/4-resist ... exercises/
