chapper's kick up the @rse

Postby chappers » 16 Dec 2011 11:38

right, enough is enough... a month on from ironman and I seem to have turned into a teenager.. hoovering food, binge drinking and sitting on my @rse. In one month I've already put on my winter plumage meaning a run on Sunday that I would have breezed only a month ago was like climbing everest... the run was flat :oops:

motivation to do anything structured simply isn't there and rightly so. However, I need to get back on it, sort out my swimming and have a little fun with training.

No ironman next year but Wensleydale and Day In the Lakes are already entered. When entry opens, Helvellyn will be on the list too, so it's going to be a year of lactate loonacy.

Who wants to place a bet on how quickly I'll break? :lol:
No? Tough. We're doing it.

You should be kicking yourself that you missed the start of Winterswim, while in a post IM carbohydrate induced fugue state. Would have done you the world of good.

You up in West Yorkshire anytime over the Hols?

Judging by your last training log, you're about to put the rest of us to shame while simply "having a little fun" with you training... :)

:lol: :lol:

yeah, you know me and swimming ;-)

sadly not up north this xmas, my brother moved to Australia the selfish git. Will prob be in the Lakes early in the new year though, so if you fancy arranging a run, I always find time for a cheeky fell run when we go up and I know the perfect 1.5-2hr gentle run for you.

you need to come down for the inaugural (unofficial and nothing to do with CTT) BCTTT Surrey 50mile TT... first half lumpy, second half flat.. failing that, we can pootle around some of the surrey 'hills' ;-)
No? Tough. We're doing it.

That's just lumpy and not what you'd really call a TT course.
27/05 Nuffield OD; 09/06 Manc 50m TT; 10/06 Barton Marina OD; 30/06 Manc 50m TT; 01/07 Outlaw IM Swim; 14/07 - 3km OW Marlow; 15/07 Marlow OD; AG LD World Champs 29/07; Club relays 25+26/08;
