Malteser's Training Log

My name is malteser and after Antwerp 70.3 last year I burnt out. I had no motivation, was tired all the time, lost all will to train, gained weight, got random injuries going about daily business and oh, am now a very proud father to a 7 month old (today) baby girl. So 2011 was a complete right-off in the triathlon department. Time to acknowledge that, move on and start prepping for 2012. I have chosen my 'A' races, and now have to start working for them. That work started today ...

so ...

29/8/2011 - 5k run with 3x50m walk breaks (no watch on me so no time)

hell week at work, impossible deadlines have meant I didn't go home for a couple of nights. 5 hours of sleep between Wednesday and Friday and on average 22 hour working days - still absolutely knackered and can't even contemplate a training session ... on the positive side, Prep phase to start tomorrow based on HR ... time to start building endurance and ditching anaerobic training for a while

just in case you were wondering, all training's being logged on endo at the moment - finding it much more easy to visualise ... plus the challenges are a healthy motivational tonic :)

Looks like it is gonna be a DNS from me .... Not really in shape to do myself justice and the trip to wokers looks like it's going to be very inconvenient for wife and monkey (and I am not going to spend my Sunday without them, especially since next week I'm away for 3 days).
