Do the leg curls/extensions using a single leg to address any imbalances between them. You may be surprised at the difference... Use the cable machine to work your rotator cuff

I AM BACK N THE GAME

I've been pretty good at trying to look after myself. Rather than ignore the advice I've been given I've taken onboard the information thrown at me.

The result. I have been pain free for three days, even when walking up the stairs. And more importantly descending them too.

I have been given the green light for VERY easy bike. Basically no climbing, no out of the saddle work, no trying to murder myself etc.

So, I was extremely excited to get the road bike out and get kitted up. I Team Laws'd myself up to the max so there was a gay rainbow cyclist looping Epsom downs this morning. I just span nice and easy. The warm air was bloody gorgeous. I have missed my bike sooooooooo much.

I've just got back and NO PAIN. thank god. Im not heading out again , I want to but I'm being sensible ( 1st time for everything- I'm gonna take it easy. Stretch now and relax. Same again tomorrow. No massive ramp up in distance or intensity

Here is the data....

14.89kms
Average speed 24.7 km/ph
Max speed 46.9kmph
36 mins 08 seconds
Elevation 197 m
Average HR 162 bpm !!!!!!
Max HR 175 bpm

I feel vie lost masses of fitness but I'll get that back if I'm careful
I did a little bit of climbing ( I can't avoid it but didn't push it) and opened up a touh on the flat but nothing more than 60% RPE.

Feel good. Glad t be back

Thanks to everyone for their advice and help.

Still not running for another month.

sounds good :-) working from home though :-( just busily trying not to buy another bike.. brilliant website. I've come to the conclusion that I need to mix up single speed and geared riding on my commute. single speed is great strength training but towards the end of the week my legs get v tired. kicking myself now that I didn't sign up to the cycle scheme this year.

oh and... I'm thinking of a bit of shock and awe training.. fancy it?

Very good news Ben. But be careful.

I wait until I have had no pain for a day. Then add another one or two days to be sure.
