Did a lap of my usual bike course and decided to do it without trying to limit to Z2.
I do this everyonce in a while to see how I'm getting on - the last comparable lap I could find was back in March - I smashed that time by 50s. Might not seem much, but I'm well chuffed. And it was done at a higher cadence, lower av HR and into a cracking headwind most of the way (which gave me a lovely boost when I had it behind me on the home straight!).
All in all very happy with it.
Then o/w in the evening - 6 laps=2640meters - 64mins - Steady state.
Frist o/water since Wales swim - demons gone :D It was good to be back in the water again.
It's really good to be back training again - I've missed it - I finally feel like I'm getting prepared for the IM - thankfully!
Bridgtown today to get a speedfil, bento box and have a service prior to the Cowman.
75mi sportive on Sunday - vaguely scared, but she'll be right :D

Was right to be scared.
For some reason, the Ride for Heroes was harder than the first 70 miles of the Wales Sportive. I really don't understand that at all - Wales had shed loads more climbing.
Thought nutrition and hydration in Wales was bad - yesterday I think was worse.
Just had nothing left after the feed station and everything was going wrong.
Although I'm quite happy that something seemed harder than Wales, as I'll be going back thinking 'I'vedone something harder than this'!!
Need to do much more cycling!!
Cowman next weekend and I'm proper pooping meself...

Well so far this week I've done swim drills, 5k (PB!! yay!) and an o/water session.
And that's me til Sunday I think.... Will probably go for a ride to check the bike out and try out what I'm wearing (not that I know yet!).
Many thanks to S11 for helping to chill me out about Sunday. He speaks a lot of sense and I have now come down off the ceiling :D
Still pooping it, but that's a good thing - show's I'm not being complacent!
Just wish I was getting more sleep.... I'm actually looking forward to camping this weekend, cos I'll sleep better :D

Update so far -
Wales Swim - DNF
Wales Sportive - Done :)
Cowman - Done :D
LLandudno Sea Tri - This weekend
IMWales - 9 weeks

Cowman was quality and a really good learning experience.
Am worrying a little about Wales, but bizarrely not as much....
Back to training this week. Just wish I could find some energy. I think the months of sleep deprivation are finally catching up with me.
Rest of the week looks like this :
Today - Swim drills 60min
Weds - Long ride - 5 hours z2 / Long swim o/w
Thurs - Off
Friday - Swim drills / 60min bike
Saturday - Rest
Sunday - RACE

Am really looking forward to the race on Sunday Me Vs. The Sea - The rematch.
Currently it's The Sea 1:0 Me - will address that on Sunday and bring things back to balance.

Sea 1 : 0 Me - Still
Last time was a no score draw. :(
It'a sll going horribly wrong.
This coming week's a rest/recovery week -- ONly 6 weeks left after and tbh I don't know how to best use the time.
I'm feeling unnerved, unsettled and quite worried.......
Think I'm going to be stood on the starting line on a wing and a prayer... if I make it there at all!
