Day 66 6.1k morning run 40mins steady, foggy and frosty. 50 min steady turbo, planned longer but nothing in the legs.
Day 67 7.8k afternoon run in 45, quite hard until last mile and then niggle in left Achilles/lower calf so eased off pace and jogged home. 90 minute steady turbo instead of parkrun in the morning.

Day 68 7.8k run, very steady as legs weary didn't realise how slow until church bells rang, 75mins!
Total for week 55.3k in just over 6hrs and 3hrs turbo. Busy week with work family and friends so missed a few bike sessions.

Day 69 7.8k morning run in 50mins and 1hr evening turbo.

Day 70 6.1k morning 45mins and 1 HR evening turbo hard effort.
Day 71 7.8k in 50 mins, evening one hour decent turbo effort.
Day 72 22.1k morning in 1.56. More speed than previous winter hms as prep for Reading in a few weeks. Question will be whether a taper, race shoes, nutrition, hydration and hard road surfaces instead of trail, will save 2mins per mile....hmmmm. Steady 4.5k later on in day.

I think I really should be doing something about maintenance on the legs, massage, stretching etc as the calves are pretty tight. No Achilles, knee or itb issues though which is a bonus. (Particularly given that I have had all of those before in the past).

Day 73 6.1k very steady 50mins, legs pretty empty.
Day 74 6.1k steady 45 mins, hungover
Day 75 6.2k 45 mins and one hour turbo medium effort.
Weekly summary 65.7k in 7hrs 11mins and 4 hours turbo.
Total streak 588k

Need to start thinking about tapering for Reading in a fortnight. Likely to be lower volume this week, but new race shoes arriving any day so will try for a 12k fast run on the road to try them out and try and get an idea of what sort of pace I need to try on the day.

Day 76 6.1k steady 40mins. 40mins easy turbo.
Day77 6.1k steady 40 mins
Day 78 6.1k 40mins steady. 1 Hour easy turbo.
Day 79 2.9k 20mins ...no toilet paper! 30mins turbo, sacked off as nothing in the legs.
Day 80 4.5k 30mins steady. 1.10 turbo reasonable effort.
Day81 6.1k 40 mins steady, not feeling as sprightly as I would have liked at the end of a low volume week.

New race shoes feel fine but not tried on road yet, hopefully will get chance to do that tomorrow which will be a pace check as well. No niggles of any note so cautious of what I do in the next week.

Day 82 6k in just under 30mins, tested out new race shoes with some pace work, all seems good.
Weekly total 37.8k in 4hours and 3hrs 20 turbo. Low weekly total but that was planned as part of taper. Legs don't feel like it has been an easy week.

Day 83 5.4k in 35mins easy run.
Day 84 4.5k in 30mins, legs still fairly weary getting a little concerned that easing off mileage has made no difference.
Day 85 2.9k easy run 20mins, legs at last feeling effects of taper, quite fresh.
Day 86 2.9k easy run 20mins

Three days to go to Reading. Weight around 71.5kg which is lightest for 4+years. Legs feel good but I have no idea what pace I will be able to maintain. I have not hit target pace for any training runs :?

Looking forward to see how you get on. I can't see how you can do anything other than really well with this background.

Have fun!
